Imik Simik

I don't write often. I never wrote before. I never thought I will start a blog, primarily because I don't think anyone will read it and secondly because I am usually ignorant about things and hence I lack opinion. But then, does my opinion matter?

The start of my blog marks the beginning of a new world, both for me as well as America. When one of my  friends told me that Osama bin Laden died today, I was like oh, finally the Americans saw “Tere Bin Laden”. This news was at least not as big a shock as Saddam’s death. Saddam was guilty of stealing America’s oil and pumping it in his sands. Osama, on the other hand was an amazing guy but not amazing enough to be the subject of my first blog.

I don't want my first blog to have a subject. I like to take things little by little. I started the blog, I will start making sense too. For those of you who still haven’t googled “Imik Simik”, it means “Little by Little” in Moroccan Berber. No! I don’t know Moroccan. It is actually the title of a beautiful song by a really pretty Moroccan lady. Her name is Hindi Zahra and No, she doesn’t know Hindi either. Trying to write this blog is a little experience in itself as it makes me introspect and I did learn something from it too. It did confirm that I suck at writing so at least my assumptions are not always wrong. If you agree then thank you, I am with you. If you disagree, you are welcome to comment :)

Trying to write is very much like trying to put a Chinese puzzle together. We have a pattern in mind which we wish to work out in words, but the words will not fit the spaces, or if they do, they will not match the design. -- Helen Keller
